C.K.

Okay, I'll jump on the current band wagon. Yes, I did follow Charlie Kirk prior to his assassination 10 September. I knew of him, had listened to him occasionally.  I wasn't deeply locked into him, I listened to Ben Shapiro more often. But Charlie was someone who, in my opinion, had Truth nailed. Nothing I ever heard come out of his mouth was either racist, fascist, or misogynistic.  If you think he was any of those things, you've never listened to his actual words from his mouth. Too much has been taken out of context and twisted.

But that's not why I am addressing the subject. I am seeing a lot of young people effected by his murder. They are affirming "I am Charlie Kirk." They are returning to church. They are finally waking up to the evil in our country and in the world. That's a good thing.

For years, many of us have wondered what it was going to take to bring about a change. I knew we had to have a voice who would bring us all together and lead us. Many times I have asked "And do what, exactly? What can we do to fix this?"

I may be completely wrong here. But I'm thinking maybe the leader we need, the voice we need to hear is that of someone who has been taken from us. Maybe Charlie Kirk, a man who wanted to be remembered for his courage to defend his faith, is the one to affect the change so needed in our world. I pray the current fervor doesn't die down. I pray it sets the world ablaze.
